In the past two years, I have had the opportunity to watch SBYIR grow into the organization it is today, and hope to foster this growth as Editor-In-Chief. SBYIR has allowed me to combine my two main interests, research and writing, and joining as a freshman has been my best decision to date. Apart from SBYIR, I am also a member of the University Scholars honors program and research child attachment and parenting styles under Dr. Kristin Bernard.  In my free time I write and record music and perform slam poetry.

I am a foodie, photographer, and writer. When I’m not editing research highlights for SBYIR, I’m probably posting something on Instagram, listening to weepy music from Korean dramas, watching anime and BuzzFeed videos, or solving a huge jigsaw puzzle. If I’m conducting more professional activities, I’m either reporting for “The Statesman” or writing stories for the SBU Institute for Advanced Computational Science.
